Hi guys, the video that appears above is the result of an idea, plus a few hours of work, that my buddy and I had right after lunch and I think it’s great to start talking about how to make a small orchestral mockup.
I also want to tell you about how we simulated the world spinning because we really enjoyed doing it.
I was looking for an idea for some time to start the videos of our tutorials and today, returning to the studio, I accidentally set my eyes on a globe that was among the things to rearrange, in a moment I remembered the Universal Studio Fanfare with the world turning and thinking “Ok! done!”.
Armed with fishing line, some ballpoint pens and a lot of patience we were able to create our little universe which Nico subsequently took over after carefully assembled the set and studied the lighting. Fun …
We edited the take, added the music and finally the titling, trying to synchronize everything. Well the result is not bad right?
Let’s move on to music. I always would have liked to write something that conveys a sense of discovery, exploration in space, something like Star Trek let’s say and I started working on a simple melody and playing with instruments in the John Williams style.
It starts with French Horns and I reply with the trumpet, from piano to forte with trombone and tuba and boom, violins, viola and cello response, double bass, crescendo of timpani, harp and finally three notes with the glockenspiel. Finished.
Ok that’s all for today. Thanks for your interest and see you soon for a new experience.
Greetings Andrea.
